Raised and educated in New York City, Anne worked briefly in HR and retired to Westerly to raise twin children as a single parent. As a divorced, “recovering Roman Catholic” she visited Christ Church, Westerly, the first Sunday of Lent, 2000, immediately knew she had come home, and was received into the Episcopal Church in June of that year. Ordained to the diaconate at Church of the Ascension, Cranston, in September of 2009, she served there until December 2012 and she has been deacon at St. Peter’s by-the-Sea, Narragansett, until present. As volunteer chaplain at the Scallop Shell Nursing Home in Wakefield, she is fulfilling her vow to serve “the poor, the weak, the sick and the lonely.” Anne is passionate about her three grandchildren, her exercise routine and crossword puzzles.
